PayPal fee question?

I live in Sweden and have a client in the US that needs to pay me money for my web services to my business. Since there is no real option to easily make a transfer from a US bank account to a swedish one I thought PayPal would be a good option. I realize they charge you fees and wanted to know my cheapest option.

Can someone straighten out the paypal fee system (verified, unverified accounts, Premier account) and help me find the cheapest option to get 1000 dollars transferred to my Swedish bank account. I cannot believe how difficult that is!
