Eating tempeh after it has been frozen?

Asked by emilyrose (2272points) October 8th, 2007

I bought some bulk tempeh that came frozen, and last week I broke off a portion to cook. I think it has been 5 days now, but I have kept it wrapped in the fridge. Is it still good?

It’s a fermented food, which tend (in my experience) to stay “good” longer…I would imagine that if the texture is still good and it smells ok, it’ll be fine.

Thanks, I called the store and the guy said it should be good until it starts to change color or get slimy. Gross!
