What are the main women's fashion magazines?

Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire. Possibly some foreign Vogues as well.

Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and probably Elle.

Magazines are great but to really stay on top you need to read blogs and visit websites like Refinery29, Style Bubble, Trendhunter, Fashionologie, Fashionizing, Wicked Halo and The Sartorialist. I also love Polyvore- An amateur stylist’s wetdream. Magazines I consider best are Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Zink (depends on the issue), Vogue UK, and Italian Vogue. There are so many more and it does get expensive to buy them so I recommend blogs because they cover a lot of the shows and give you scans of great fashion editorials for free.
A lot of the magazines have websites where they cover the latest fashion collections for free and have much more extensive coverage than the magazines could ever have. Check them out!!!
Don’t forget Japanese Magazines. Japan is becoming a major force in design.
I love the hi-res photos on First Veiw. Great to check out if you know a collection was newsworthy and want to see the entire thing.
