What is an appropriate way to end a parenthetical comment with emoticons?

Asked by Baloo72 (702points) February 19th, 2009

Yes, I did steal this from xkcd, but I have wondered that before (and xkcd didn’t answer my question ;) ). I hope you understand my question (for those of you that have read a lot of my comments, you know I tend to use lots of parenthesis :)

I’m interested in the answer to this, as well. Any grammarians want to weigh in?
