My parents have four. One of which is mine. But I’ll tell you them all

Puggle (mine) His name is Toby :]

Rat Terrier: Bailey, because the color of his face is like Baileys Irish Creme.

Yellow Lab: Denver, my mom LOVES the Denver Broncos and we’re from Jersey, go figure.

Black Lab: Shadow, the obvious name for a black lab, thank you 12 and 6 year old siblings :)

A swiss mountain dog and his name is Bear. He’s about 13 months.

I’ve just adopted a dog from the rescue place.
She is a brindle boxer named Molly. She appears to be about 2 years old and they probably just used her for puppies and then dropped her off at a shelter. She is very sweet and loving but appears to have an issue with drywall.

We have more dogs than people in our house, and some would not fit the description of “lil rascal.”

Scarlett is our American Bulldog and she is 125 pounds of lap dog. Definitely not “lil.”

Boudreaux is our Katrina-refugee pit bull and he weighs 65 pounds (but rascal is a good description for him).

Bourbon, our other Katrina refugee, weighs 60 pounds and is a very polite lady with long golden fur.

Sally at 50 pounds is a bit overweight but is very, very bossy elderly mixed breed black and tan critter.

Only Shorty is “lil.” He weighs 35 pounds and is a rottweiler-dachshund cross. We call him a “Dachsweiler.”

My avatar is Gracie, a rescued Shar-Pei who died of lymphoma 2 years ago.

We have a snarfling, snoring, misbehaving black pug by the name of Jack the Pug (yes, he goes by his full name).

I have a female Chinese Crested (hairless) named phoebe. She is the boss of the house even though she is the smallest. My sons dog is a male beagle named tanner. He is sweet and loud. My daughter has a male shi tzu named meiko. He looks like a panda bear and loves to sing.

asmonet's avatar

I have a Maltese named Athena. She’s a bit of a dumb spazzy blond with moments of genius packed into a four pound frame.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

i bet all of your dogs are loved unconditionally and are adorable as can be!

MrMontpetit's avatar

@LouisianaGirl You’d win that bet :P

Darwin's avatar

@LouisianaGirl – Her full name is Miss Scarlett of some kennels or other. She was an expensive pure bred that the guy mistreated so his dad took her away and turned her over to a shelter. She is from East Texas somewhere.

Adina1968's avatar

I have a Yellow Lab named Ashby and a Collie Mix named Sunny (she is yellow too.) Ashby gives Marley a run for his money for World’s Worst Dog. LOL! (We love her anyway.) Sunny is the World’s Best and Most Lovable Dog! Oh! They are both ladies!

LouisianaGirl's avatar

@ladymerie I sent you a comment

@LouisianaGirl: I wish I could lurve you twice for having a westie! My mother and I used to have one and he died a few years ago but he was one of the most wonderful little creatures I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. his name was Micro and and he died at around the age of 17 or 18 we think.

Currently, I have a Puli named Zup. He is 8 years old and still acts like a puppy. he is also one of the cheerfullest fellows I have ever met. He loves going everywhere, including the vet and the kennel! Whenever my mom brings him home from the kennel, the people who work there are disappointed because he is always so happy. :)

Poppers: Male apricot Labradoodle. Dumb as a post, but adorable.
Sydney: Male blonde Australian Shepherd mix. Brilliant, but sneaky and shy.

I have two dogs. Waffles and Syrup the Gangsta Johannson, Waffles for short, is a Brittany Spaniel/Beagle mix. He is OCD and has an obsession for anything he can catch midair, most especially balls. Our other dog is a Beagle rescue named Totoro. We are so very lucky to have him, he was meant for our family. He loves seaweed and carrots!

Sandie – Golden Retriever. She’s pretty old now, but lovable and friendly as ever. She acts like a mother to our little dog, it’s cute. She loves to go swimming with me, and she used to be an awesome frisbie catcher.

Trevor – Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He’s young and lovable as well, except he always seems to think he’s the king of the house for some reason :P

exitnirvana's avatar

I have one dog, Remy, and he’s a Pit/Lab mix.

chyna's avatar

@KrystaElyse My friend has been wanting a Cavalier King Charles for a long time now, but they are so expensive. Even the rescue places want 650.00 for one. They are cute as can be.

LouisianaGirl's avatar

aprilsimnel's avatar

My roomies have a Weimaraner / Terrier mix who is the color of Nutella, with eyes to match. Elle s’appelle Hazelnut. She is a shelter-born dog and very friendly, but she likes to bark a lot, she loves a lot of attention and is always underfoot. I help to take care of her, but she isn’t my dog.

chyna's avatar

@kwhull JD just dog, hehe

LouisianaGirl's avatar

All were strays or rescues:

We have an ancient yellow lab named “Butch”
Also an older German Shorthaired Pointer named by one daughter “Sweetie”

@loser You are, without a doubt, in the right profession.

I have a little brown terrier x type dog named Bird who weighs about 12 pounds but thinks she is a Great Dane!

Then comes Red the akita, big gentle lug of a boy who is, as are most akitas, extremely intelligent and aloof. He and Bird are the oldies.

The wild child (my avatar) is a part dingo, part kelpie and part who knows. She is just about a year old and very full of herself and so smart. Like the akita, she seems to have the ability to think. Her name is Town Dog because she came from an Aboriginal town camp.
