Do you hate it when bands add you on myspace?

Yes I didnt like that either…..you can change that in your settings.

It seems a lot of venues like myspace, facebook and twitter are used for agressive self-promtion. Yeah- it is annoying.

I hate myspace.

I only add bands that are people I know, or bands I’m actually interested in following. God, there are so many awful bands on there that think that just because they have a MySpace page, that they’re gonna be something – and the cheesy band photos? Ugh. They just make me sad.

Yeah Jon Bon Jovi just won’t leave me alone. hehe

bands adding you on myspace can be helpfull to find new songs to add to your profile

it’s kind of annoying, but i’ve actually discovered a few great bands that way. a few favourite bands, and a few bands that ended up becoming relatively well known.

if anyone’s heard of that ‘hardcore’ (or what_ever_) band, alesana? they added me a longgg time ago, and i was like “hm, they sound pretty good for their type of music, i’m surprised they aren’t famous”. and now they have a pretty good following.

also, one of my favourite bands in the world is peachcake and i’m pretty positive that they added me.

give these little bands a chance, you might actually like them. who knows, maybe they’ll get big one day, and you’ll be like “wow they’re really great, didn’t they try to add me back when tickets to their shows where like 10 bucks and not 40?”
