You know me too, I sometime also think like I’ve been somewhere before, while I’ve not. So weird…

I’m getting a deja vous from this question actually.

It is only a glitch in the matrix. But I have had lots of deja vus as well and the majority of mine happened between 13 and 19 I think, but I still have them on occasion. You are not alone, the feeling of deja vu goes all the way back to ancient greeks who named it paramnesia

IS deja vous real——OMG I’ve turned into a grammar cop…I’ll be in rehab.

ha I don’t know how the french pluralize their words and maybe deja vu is an exception in english but I totally just went with the standard rule of adding an S at the end of it.
P.S. didn’t mean that in a mean sarcastic way at you, just toward the frenchies. :P

The phrase is déjà vu, which means already seen. Vous is “you” in the plural and formal.

In English, you’d call them instances of or experiences of déjà vu.

I think they’re brain farts, myself.

Brain fart, something like that. It’s when your brain processes a sensation in such a way that it gets stored into your memory before you experience the sensation. It can happen to any of your senses, I think, but visual images are the most common.

I’ve had several deja vu’s over my lifetime where I know that i’ve heard something or seen it before. When in fact, I have not. It can be difficult to narrow this experience down to a deja vu because it feels like you’ve experienced it before because you “remembered” it before you “saw” it.

I wonder what a brain fart smells like.

It’s the brain hiccuping almost. It’s nice to think that they mean something, but in reality it’s much more logical that they are simply a delay in the brain’s two sides communicating (similar to when you’re watching an online video and it hasn’t buffered enough) than to start thinking they are a sign or magical or premonitions. I’ve had deja-vus of completely mundane things, like walking down a road, which really provided no information or insight whatsoever.

yes they are real, they happen to me quite often. It is many times at least in my experience derived from a dream, or the subconcious mind working on the problem.
