Is The Sun a reputable British newspaper?

Well beneath The Guardian, the Times and the Observer. Above the dregs such as the Daily Sport and the Daily Sketch and even with the News of the World, which isn’t saying much.

The Sun is well known for page three girls and front page articles with wild speculation about pop singers and royalty. I think it can be objectively described as a “tabloid.”

Page 3 is pretty reputable to me.

Depends how you look at life. It is aimed at the working class end of the market and while it is quite tabloidy it is not as bad as some. The Daily Mail for example…

@marina the News of the World is the Sunday edition of The Sun (at least it is in the UK)

No it isn’t. It is a rabble-rousing piece of poulist trash. Which is why millions of copies are sold daily!

In answer to Darwin they tried the boys in the paper and the core readers really did not like it. Not that they are frightened of pictures of sexy guys or that they might find them attractive of course!
