Does anyone want an update on Winston's foot?

Do you guys remember when I shared with you that Winston broke his foot? He needed expensive surgery. I found a wonderful vet who is performing his surgery today. I wrote to him and explained our situation. He is doing the surgery for one half the cost.. Around two thousand dollars. My family will be giving up all extras to pay for it..no eating out, no movies or cable, no newspaper, etc.., but all worth it to save our boy!

The great thing is I never asked for a break. U just honestly wrote what happened and explained about the place this animal had earned in my family’s heart. He is such a sweetheart. I wish you all could come down here to Louisiana and meet my husband, daughter and to give Winnie a hug in person. As always , thanks so much Fluther family. You guys rock!

Update: Winston had his surgery. Doc called last night and said it was a success. Twelve weeks of hard recovery, plus another surgery some time after that to remove the plate he inserted to hold the repair as it heals. Weekly trips to the vet to monitor his progress. My hubs is picking him up today after work. We are happy again! Thanks guys!
