Internship on a tropical island - how do I do it?

Asked by swingliner (245points) March 29th, 2009

I want to live and work on a tropical island this summer. I’m a 4th year student and I’d like to do something I could put on my resume (so not waiting tables or something). Preferably in the field of advertising/marketing/communications.

Is this doable? Has anyone done it before? Knows someone who did it before? Friend of a friend of a friend?

No idea. But if you find out let me know how you did it. I could do with a change of scene.

Yep. I lived in the Cayman Islands for 6 months this past fall/winter. I didn’t work. But my boyfriend did. It was amazing. And he wasn’t waiting tables. He got a job at an asphalt plant.

Btw, Caymans are the best.
