What's worse: Eating when you're not hungry, eating right before sleep, or only eating one meal a day?

I know that if you don’t eat, you don’t really lose weight because your body sort of goes into “survival” mode and stores what nutrients it has instead of burning them… and I know that not eating messes with your metabolism.

For the most part though, I eat around 11 or noonish.. I’ll have one or two small, non-sugary/no carb snacks throughout the day (lately it’s been a stick of string cheese lol), and then I’m not hungry until I’m literally climbing into bed. I’m obviously not going to get out of bed and eat something then, because a) I’m falling asleep standing up by then, and b) I also know it’s bad to have a meal right before your metabolism drops to its slowest point for 8 hours.

I feel like I’m losing weight… I refuse to step on a scale, but I’m pretty sure I have… I also know that one meal a day isn’t healthy. But I’m honestly not hungry. Not that I don’t want food, but physically speaking, I’m not hungry. So what’s worse? My one meal/few snacks a day, or forcing myself to have another meal at some point throughout the evening, or eating right before I go to sleep when I’m physically feeling hunger?
