Have any of you girls tried Secret Clinical Strength deodorant/antiperspirant?

Asked by essieness (7698points) April 12th, 2009

I bought some the other day just to try it out. I’m not a Sweaty Betty or anything, but I figured hey, if I can just not have sweaty pits at all, score.

Have any of you tried it? What was your experience?

you said i couldn’t answer this one, but I still am going to! I vote for mitchum. their slogan is “so effective you could skip a day.”

I have tried Mitchum and Secret Clinical Strength, and used each of them for years, and just because you have a good slogan doesn’t mean you have a good product. We should all be sure a congratulate Mitchum’s marketing department next time you see them. Apparently they’re very good at their jobs.

I would recommend Secret Clinical Strength hands down. It didn’t stain my clothes at all or irritate my skin (which many many soaps and lotions do) and it works! It keeps me smelling really nice all day. Mitchum made my underarms…I dunno, a little drier than other products, but the product itself has a very distinctive and not-very-pleasant scent, even (espeically) the “unscented” one. Neither of them made my underarms completely dry all day though.

I’m not super-sweaty or smelly, but I did get it because during summer or high-profile presentations, I don’t want to ‘pit out’ if I’m wearing a tighter-fitting top.

My experience was that it works only moderately well at controlling the wetness. It’s slightly better than the regular deodorant but it doesn’t stop it altogether. I still keep it around for when I need it, but switched back to my inexpensive regular stuff for daily use. It’s not such a benefit that I’m willing to pay the $9.00 and use it every day.

Maybe your experience will be different?

I got it once when they were out of my regular scent…unscented. Who the fuck runs out of the basics? Anyway, it was awesome. I have since switched.

It’s strong enough for a man, but made for a woman. (In Afganistan).

No, but I use Soft & Dry with baby powder for years and I am not a sweaty betty now. I highly reccomend it.
