Free, good, critique oriented online writing communities?

Asked by excinit (10points) April 16th, 2009

I’m trying to get some good feedback on a couple articles I’m writing as a freelancer – basically, an editor’s eye to help improve my writing, and I’m happy to the same. Anyone know of a good, free, preferably community driven online writing community where people can critique each other’s work?

You know, you can simply post it here.

Posting it here might not be such a good idea, actually. You’d get some critiques, perhaps, but once it’s posted out here, it will lose value as a saleable commodity and could even be plagiarized. A prospective publisher might run a check and get a hit on it here—and then either (a) think you stole it or (b) know your fluther name.

You might look into this

even if you’re not looking for a self-publishing model.
