How do I put an email on a webpage without bots trying to spam me?

Asked by VoodooLogic (729points) April 21st, 2009

I want to put my email address up on a Wordpress blog without being spammed to death. I’ve heard of honey-pots, but I’m not sure about how it works.

Does anyone have a technique they can share?

Thanks

We write out our email with words. Email (at) gmail (dot) com. Most people recognize that and know how to make it work. The other option is to get another email address and not worry about the spam at that account.

I do what miasmom said spell the dots and ats but, some places don’t accept this form of entry .

Also, many spambots can see right through that kind of thing.
