iPhone Calendar events don't sync correctly...

Asked by dvchuck (230points) December 7th, 2007 from iPhone

When I enter an event in iPhones calendar and then sync with iCal the time I entered on the iPhone changes by 1hour. How can I fix this?

You have to set the correct time zones so that they match up on your computer and your iphone. I had the same problem until I figured it out. On the iphone go under Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone Support (ON) and then select the correct Time Zone. On your computer (if it is a Mac) in iCal go to Preferences > Advanced and select Turn on Time Zone Support. Hope this helps!

Jeffrey Zeldman tweets: “Since Leopard time-stamps differently, syncing iPhone between Leopard + Tiger Macs means constant ‘replacement’ of same files.”

Adding: “It’s the kind of stuff that’s supposed to happen to the John Hodgman (PC) character, not the Justin Long (Mac) guy.”
