Is a Macbook Pro capable of dual-display output?

Asked by jballou (2128points) May 4th, 2009

I know you can hook up one external display and use it together with the built-in display for a dual display set up, but can you hook up 2 external displays for a dual display set up?

How exactly do you do it?

You need this little black box.

DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go are small black boxes that let you connect two or three monitors to your laptop or desktop computer. They connect to the VGA or DVI output and use your system’s GPU to provide high-quality 2D, 3D and video across all monitors. Because Graphic eXpansion Modules are external, they are perfect for platforms previously limited to a single display, such as systems with integrated graphics, systems with no available expansion slots, or systems that are already closed and validated.
