What are the easiest ways to get a grant to learn Chinese?

If you are a US citizen, I would definitely check out the grants from the Luce foundation and the Blakemore foundation (you can google either of those.) The Luce is for professionals who have never had any asia experience. The Blakemore is for folks who’ve had some background in Chinese and wish to get a grant to pursue it further in-country. Actually, both grants are available for all Asian languages, not just Chinese. Good luck!
