Which shoe companies are the most environmentally friendly?

And are there any little ones that are exceptionally (ridiculously, surprisingly) environmentally friendly?

Simple makes vegan shoes out of sustainable materials. I’m not sure if that’s common knowledge though.

@buster Are you in Denver? Ahimsa has been my very favorite store since I gave up leather.

I am a huge fan of Toms shoes. Great shoes, great cause, great idea.

Earth shoes are, not very surprisingly given the name, Earth-friendly.

My birks are wonderful. I don’t have to replace them often, great shoes.

@SuperMouse I’d never heard of Tom’s before, but they seem worth supporting. Also, yay shoes! Are they comfortable and high quality?
