Where can I find retro film footage or audio?

For example old footage of spacecrafts, presidential speeches, factory workers and so on.

I’m thinking that youtube wouldn’t be the best source, any ideas?

Quality of the video when downloaded. They tend to pixelated and/or interlaced. Youtube really doesn’t have quality behind its videos, although they are getting better.
