How do I copy a DVD on to my Mac?

It depends on what you want to do with the DVD. If you just want to store it on your computer as a compressed video (700MB .avi for example), then Handbrake is your answer.

If you plan on burning a copy of the ripped disk, then you want MacTheRipper, which strips the copyright protection that disables the ability to make copies.

Both are free.
