What fitted hat size should i get?

ok well ive always had long hair, got it braided… i just cut it & i need to get use to it =\ , but thats besides the point… im about to buy a fitted hat… my head measured 23 & 1/8 inches which equals to a size fitted 7 & 3/8… my question is is that what i should get? are they naturally made to be a little loose? or should i get a size a bit larger ?
