Can I trust the website www.tobook.com to book a hotel room?

Asked by xTheDreamer (897points) July 1st, 2009

I have booked a hotel room at www.tobook.com website and I was wondering if it trustable? Can I count on it to have my reservation really made at the hotel it self? I am very scared that I have booked the hotel room but when I get there they didn’t reserve the room or didn’t even get our reservation.

Call the hotel, tell them you want to confirm your reservation.

Why did you book through them than book through the hotel to begin with?

There certainly are reputable booking sites, like Travelocity, Priceline, Expedia, etc. But “tobook” isn’t one I’ve heard of.

@MrItty Well because their own website didn’t have a booking thing, just a booking enquiry that’s more work and all. We would love to call the hotel but apparently the hotel official website isn’t working every time it just says page error so we’re not able to get the telephone number.

and this tobook.com site doesn’t give you the hotel’s phone number? That’s a giant red flag.

How about just Google’ing for it. maps.google.com. Search for the hotel name and the city. You’ll get the phone number.
