Are internet applications workable on a ipod touch?

are the internet applications (like twitter or skype) workable on a ipod touch?

You need to be connected to Wifi, which isn’t always available.

Yes. But you need to be connected to a wifi network. Anything that needs GPS or a microphone won’t work. Twitter will work. Skype will not.

Skype will work as long as you have wifi and the headphones with a speaker that comes with the iPhone.
