Do any recyclers accept Wiffle balls and bats?

Does it have any markings on it, showing that it is recyclable? Different areas accept different things. I know in my area, the answer would be no.

If they are in good shape, a local youth organization will probably take them off your hands. If that doesn’t work, the thrift store is always good for that kind of thing.

In my neighborhood, they will take any recyclable material, but they will only pay for the ones that have a refund value.

@cak The only marking I could find was the letter A on the bottom of the yellow bat. I don’t think that’ll help, though. After asking this question I emailed Wiffle about it. I’m curious to see what they say (if they get back to me, of course, which I bet they will; they’re small, and my customer service interactions with them have all been good).

@EmpressPixie Good thought about donating them, but usually the reason we retire a ball is that we’ve hit it so hard so many times it has started splitting apart. Or that the dog has found it and chewed it up.

Where do you live? I agree that if the stuff is still in usable condition you should give it away. If it’s not and you live in the Bay Area, I would throw it in the recycle bin. Curious to see what wiffle says….............. I think any company that produces anything should have a recycling option available to its customers!

@emilyrose I’m in PA, almost DE. The Wiffle man I emailed responded right away. He doesn’t know. But he says he’s looking into it. I’ll update this thread when I learn more…
