someone recently asked a question about the currency bubble that i actually didn’t get but there has been boom in fx trading, esp by ordinary people. it would be interesting to learn if folks think that’s a good thing or not, ordinary people venturing into markets dominated by huge banks. also, what’s been driving the boom? is fx trading currently a volatility play more than anything else?

another interesting question might be, is otc clearing going to take off? will one ch come to dominate otc clearing? is there any ch in the world that can withstand the financial shock of a collapse in the otc markets?
