Dallas Tx road trip Good local food locations?

Asked by ekusafetyman (4points) July 30th, 2009

I’m heading to Dallas for a week long trip and I’m looking for some great places to eat. I’m more interested in food than ambiance.

Find a Salt Grass. Try their sweet potatoes & the Range Rattlers. They’re both to die for. Oooh, how I miss that restaurant. I don’t know how far you’d want to drive, but there’s one in Rockwall, on I-30 just east across Lake Ray Hubbard. It makes for a nice drive across the lake. It’s about 15–20 miles from Dallas. If you go, blow Rockwall a kiss for me. God, how I miss it.

Do you like Tex-Mex? If so, you need to go to Ojeda’s. My family has been going there since the early 1970s and they are the standard by which I judge all other Mexican food. Get the enchilada dinner. The original location is near downtown Dallas at 4617 Maple Ave.

In downtown, Spaghetti Warehouse is an institution, along with El Fenix, a tex-mex destination. Consider Broadway Pizza, Urbino Pizza, and Marco’s Pizza as good pizza joints. Burger House in Highland Park is famous for their burgers, and basically any restaurant you come across will be fine.

@jbfletcherfan they’re steaks are also amazing!!

If you want some good pizza and some good Italian food, you should go to Besa’s Pizza & Pasta located in North Dallas, close to Addison. Also, Addison is a great place, full of restaurants.
sorry if late. lol
