How can I implement a Seinfeldian Chain on my website?

I love the idea of a Seinfeldian Chain (http://lifehacker.com/software/motivation/jerry-seinfelds-productivity-secret-281626.php) as a graphical tool to motivate you to keep doing those actions you need to do everyday, like exercise or write.

Of course, being the internet geek I am, I don’t want to do it on a paper calendar; I want it online! Here is an excellent one, done beautifully in AJAX: http://smarterfitter.com/chain

Now, I could just use the SmarterFitter website and create a number of chains for myself for different actions, but I’d much rather implement something just like this on my website. I’m not a programmer but I am a computer power user and I know my way around my web hosting control panel (Cpanel) well enough.

Is there a way for a non-programmer like myself to get something like this on my website without having to pay someone to program it for me?
