How does one go about becoming a product tester/reviewer?

I visited this cool blog yesterday and the author has products sent to her to review. I’ve sent her a note to ask this same question, but wanted to open it up to others as well. Seems like a cool thing to do especially if you get to keep the products.

There are a couple companies I know that (after signing up) will send you products to test. Family Handyman is one. They have sent us everything from tools, gardening supplies, books. There is another one, it is strictly gardening supplies. I forget the name. If I remember it, I’ll let you know.
