Why does my jaw hurt after i eat shellfish?

an allergy? I think shellfish have a lot of iodine in them, could this have something to do with it?

Take the inside bits out of the shell first?

I think you’re supposed to remove the shells before eating… =)

I used to get an itchy feeling at the back of my throat when I ate shrimp. I paid no attention to it until my brother had a major allergic reaction. I went to an allergist and found it I was allergic to shellfish. So, no more shrimp for me.
