Steaming it onto the shirt.
Also, don’t apply direct heat to the shirt, it can burn.

Are you sure it’s an iron-on patch? If so, then position it on the shirt, lay a towel over it, and press it with an iron on high cotton setting for about 15 seconds. I haven’t tried this on jersey material, but I’m not sure that it would work too well.
If it is not an iron-on patch, you can sew it on or use fabric glue.

@lefteh I’m positive it is iron-on because it has the glue on the back, but I am hesitant to iron it onto the nylon jersey in fear of melting it. I’m thinking that your idea with the towel will work well as it will shield some of the heat. Thanks!

All I can say is…

You’ve got 5 weeks to figure it out.

I know it’s not helpful but I look for any opportunity to get excited for the new season. :)

@jonsblond football season doesn’t officially begin for me until the Red Sox season is over, so it could be as long as 8 weeks from now. (wishful thinking)

@buckyboy28 I would try with the towel, and with less time. Try 10 seconds, let it cool, and check it by picking at the edges. Only iron as much as you need to.

@buckyboy28 What NFL team do you support?

sorry for derailing the thread. Like I said, I look forward to any opportunity to discuss football.

@photographcrash 12–0 by Sunday? I’m feeling it. The baseball gods have been on our side thus far at the New Stankee Stadium.
