There’s not too much else to say really…

What i remember from when i was in massage therapy school you want to add in the lavender oil. The extract would be used in like potpourri.

I second oil. From ehow:

“Pour about one-half cup of unscented lotion into a jar. Make sure the jar has a tight lid to help keep the lavender scent fresh for as long as possible.

Use an eyedropper to add three drops of essential oil of lavender to the lotion. Be careful not to spill the oil on your clothing or skin.”

I third oil.

Put a drop on your pillow tonight.

Make sure you use pure essential oil and do a skin patch test before slathering it all over!

@aligator : GA, and a shout out to a fellow massage buddy!

I’ll just jump in and say oil as well.
I’m using it currently to help my sinuses.

@ubersiren: how exactly does one do a skin patch test?

Mix a bit of it in a bit of the lotion and apply a bit of it to a small area on your skin. This is to check for a reaction, say if you were allergic or something.

Yeah, what @Facade said. Did I use the wrong terminology or something? I often get stuff mixed up.

re: spills
Lavendar oil can also ruin wood finishes, laminate, plastics if not cleaned immediately.

@ubersiren: I have no idea if you used the right or wrong terminology, I just didn’t know what the test would entail exactly.
