Do you remember how much a Nintendo cost when it was new in 1984? Or a Sega Genesis when it was new?How much were any of the gaming consoles when they came out? How much were the games and controllers?

All I really remember is buying my Gamecube, with 2 controllers and a game (crappy, but a game nonetheless), for around $100. For everything else, I was either too young to remember or it was bought second-hand or given as a gift.

My parents bought us a Commodore 64 in 1984 which cost them 453.00 EUR (= 645.356 USD).
In ‘84 it was actually paid in guldens, 999 of them to be precise.
