How to create a virtual desktop with limited programs on Vista?

Asked by Sakimichi (12points) August 22nd, 2009

Hello! So here’s the real deal-
My pesky brother just did something stupid to my program that he moved the important files needed for a particular program before it completed. Now I’m furious! How can I separate him to another account with my program running but he cant touch the files and the program itself?

If you have multiple accounts on the computer you can select “Switch User” (I suppose from the Logout menu), then he can log on to his own account and do whatever he likes without interfering with yours.

I know but I want my program to run while he’s using an account but he can’t touch it and so are the files

Yeah, when you select Switch User your account is still logged in, he just gets to use his own account at the same time. After he logs out you need to make sure you also logout before you shut down though.

@Vincentt Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try if it works :]
