Help! I can't name my ipod?

So i must of messed something up somehow or done this on purpouse awhile ago, but at the moment my ipod is nameless. To fix this i tried to look it up: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1789 but to my dismay it did not work.

Double click in the blue bar that the arrow is pointing to then you should be able to type in it. Hope I helped. If it still isn’t working tell me and I’ll try to figure it out.

I replicated your issue and got this to work:
1. Put your mouse cursor over the picture of your device under your arrow.
2. Start clicking the mouse button while slowly moving the cursor to the right. At some point ¼ inch or so you’ll get a blinking cursor. Type the new name and hit Enter.

If that doesn’t work hit the restore button over to the right. Re-dock and you will be asked to name the iPod.
