Anyone know how to circumvent Websense web filtering?

Asked by jaketheripper (2779points) September 1st, 2009

The college I attend uses Websense and it blocks stuff I would like to access. It also blocks every proxy website I’ve tried. Anyone know a way around it, I’m sure it’s not that hard but I’m not really a hacker.

Isn’t that illegal or against school policy or something?

Does anyone know if it is actually illegal, or just against the rules?

I think it would get you suspended or kicked out of whatever school you’re at, but its not illegal, because I think its protected by the 1st amendment.

Depends on the country you live in and the agreement you entered into with the college you attend.

@Vincentt‘s idea will work; just move to Nigeria or Russia.
