How do I extract and isolate audio from a .FLV video file?

Asked by Blondesjon (33994points) September 1st, 2009

How do I isolate the audio of any video file and transfer it to it’s own file.

A free way to do this would be the cat’s meow.

If the video is on youtube, or a similar site, you can go to www.zamzar.com/url, type in the web address, and select “convert to mp3”. I hope that’s what you’re talking about. If it’s NOT on youtube, either upload it there, or download a Audacity. I’ve used that program to rip tons of audio over the years.

get a copy of Audacity free audio editing software.

Play the video file. Use Audacity to record the sound.

You could go to this website and not bother with Zamzar.
