Is Nevada really putting microchips in their licenses and ID cards?

Asked by justus2 (851points) September 4th, 2009

I heard today that since january 2009 Nevada is having a microchip in their drivers licenses and id cards where they can track people and stuff, and I thought omg how ridicilous that they can do that, that is an invasion of privacy, is this true?

I don’t know about Nevada and their licenses but there is plenty of information about microchips in passports. As far as invasion of privacy is concerned, all Americans lost some of their privacy, rights, and freedoms when the Patriot Act was implemented forced upon everyone after 9/11. If there are any doubts regarding this, just watch the documentary “Unconstitutional – The War On Our Civil Liberties”. It is both very interesting and sobering at the same time.

Some credit cards have them too. How do you think “touch-and-go” works? If you don’t bend the card to crack the chip. The magnetic strip will still work.

It’s been foretold in the Bible, one world goverment is at hand and with it the Antichrist with his mark of the beast.

Keep in mind that RDIF chips have a very short range. Like ten to 20 feet. So there would have to be a lot of sensors every few feet to track you. Your cell phone already does this.

But this could come in handy for cops. Imagine you pull someone over for speeding and boom. Without getting out of the car you can pull the info from all the ID’s in the car to see if anyone in the car has a warrant.

I’m not a fan for security reasons. But I am not freaking out about it.

I would be more concerned about microchips being put in people. There is a company called Verichip, which makes RFID-implantable microchips. They have also signed a partnership with Microsoft, with something called the Microsoft Health Vault, which is electronic medical records keeping. President Obama has repeatedly mentioned electronic medical records throughout this health care debate. The safest and most efficient way to implement such a system, would be through the use of RFID.
Dont be scared…. there are already chips in licenses and passports. Whats one more?

At least you know where those RFID chips are located. If you are worried about being tracked you can purchase a shielded bag to hide them. You probably got one of the bags for free when you bought an EZ pass.
These are the chips you need to worry about. Check out these from Hitachi

They already are using them in dogs and cats, and apparently in many countries in race horses. I can see useful points to them in people as well, but then I have nothing to hide.

@worriedguy, Damn, that’s small.

LuckyGuy's avatar

@kevbo Yep. They can fit in cash. Some countries (not the US) have been doing it for at least 8 years. They use a slightly different method. You can see the passive antenna if hold it up to a bright light. (This particular country does not allow foreigners to take currency from the country.)

I was just curious because a friend showed me an article and said they saw stuff on the news about it started here in Nevada in January 2009 and that it is a good thing, which I completely don’t think is correct.

Who cares? nobody.
You are tracked by your cars GPS, by your Cell Phone, by the magnetic strip on your Credit/ATM cards, your phone calls are all recorded by the British & we record theirs so that we can legally swap info. etc. As mentioned above the Patriot ( riot act ) Act took away all your rights. I have never voted either Republican OR Democrat but did vote for Obama ( all presidents are puppets ) because I knew how much it would mean to others to have a black president and for once would not be throwing away a vote to a rigged voting machine. I only say this because if you want to know who Obama really is you only need ask yourself why he hasn’t gotten rid of the Patriot Act. His own military chief of staff quietly issued that we are no longer fighting a global terror war and that there is not real global terror threat. ( look it up ). But the Patriot Act remains intact. Want to know the KEY to all of this ?? Watch ’ MONEY AS DEBT ’ on YouTube for free. Broken into 4 parts. You will be much enlightened as to why and how the world really works.

Don’t worry just put you credit card or license with the chip into the microwave for 3–5 seconds and presto no more chip. And sell your cell phone, stop watching so much TV, prepare your family with enough food and water for one month, and pray, and learn about who Jesus is before it is too late. The Nephilim are coming back and they will pretend they are our gods/annunaki UFO/alien. They will try to make us bow to them. God will protect his own, but you idiots who refuse to love Jesus are out of luck.
