How do you get rid of acne ON scar tissue?

Asked by avvooooooo (8880points) September 18th, 2009

My little brother had an unfortunate accident while biking home from the bar one night and has a good deal of scar tissue on his face. Nose is no longer broken, teeth are fixed, but skin takes a while. What he’s having an issue with now is acne on the scar tissue. Obviously this is delicate new skin and what works to keep him from breaking out elsewhere isn’t working for this area of his face.

Is there something in particular that I can track down that he needs to be using to take care of this problem? A particular face wash or something like that which works well?

I just don’t do anything. I wash my face, eat less greasy and salty foods and wait.

The only thing that I have found to be truly effective at removing scar tissue is vitamin E oil. Not cream or extract, but pure oil. It takes three months of twice daily application, rubbed well in, but it will dissolve all scar tissue eventually. It is what is recommended to burn victims, but few persevere for the full three months. I used it successfully to remove some very severe scarring from my leg after a bad bike accident. Even the surgeons can’t find the scars now.
