Is there a language learning cd/book from Chinese to Dutch?

Asked by xTheDreamer (897points) September 20th, 2009

So my mom wants to learn Dutch but she’s Chinese and I was wondering if there’s a program/book or cd that I can buy for her to learn. If it’s a book or CD(such as Rosetta Stone) she would like it to be from Chinese to Dutch thus it teaches you everything in Chinese but to Dutch.

This site seems to sell some Dutch-Chinese dictionaries which could be helpful. You or she could try contacting the store and ask them if they carry something appropriate.

You can’t really learn a language just by reading a dictionary. Practice works best. You would have to ask a book store or something whether they have something like this, or search an online store.

Also, out of curiosity, what’s her motivation for learning Dutch? I suppose it’s not because it’s such a widely spoken language? ;-)

@Vincentt – Note that I said to ask the store if they carry something appropriate because they carry Dutch-Chinese dictionaries, not that such a dictionary would solve her problem.

@Vincentt well we’re actually living on an island which follows the dutch system and our 2nd language is dutch but she’s not that very good in dutch this is why she wanted to learn but our bookstores doesn’t carry those similarly to “Rosetta Stone” learning books and CDs

@Darwin Dictionaries are okay but she wants the learning guide book with the CD where she can listen to the dutch words and pronounce it out also.

@xTheDreamer – So ask this bookstore that carries Dutch-Chinese dictionaries if they carry learning materials like she wants! They would be more likely to do so than one that doesn’t acknowledge there is even a need to learn Dutch from Chinese.

Sheesh! Please read what I wrote.

Sigh! You do NOT need to shout. Simply read what is written and say thanks or not.

So did you ask that bookstore if they know of anything?

@Darwin that website of the bookstore you gave me do have the books but we didn’t really understood something so we are going to call them up later on.
