How to find out if someone is sue happy?

Asked by fidopher (1points) September 24th, 2009

I am a broker of some expensive goods and am wondering if, before I contract to help someone buy something, can I find out online if they are sue happy (have sued someone before)?

check PACER (Federal court records database; requires credit card to obtain username/password to cover nominal per page charge) and your state’s online superior court records website (if it has one); look for their name entered as the plaintiff
