How to erase the winzip on my computer?

Asked by f4a (601points) September 27th, 2009

I downloaded a file online, it says it needed winzip, so after dowloading the file, I downloaded a winzip. Now, the file still won’t open. I want to erase the winzip in my computer. All winzip files. Not including the file I downloaded before. I don’t need the winzip because the file won’t open anyway.

Winzip is built-in to windows. You would probably do some damage to your setup if you decided to nuke every zipped file on there.

If you just don’t like winzip there are plenty of alternatives.

What if I downloaded a winzip, not knowing my computer already had winzip? Then, I want to erase only the downloaded winzip.

I’m not sure if you’re talking about the program called winzip or simply a zipped up file. To delete the one you just downloaded will mean finding it and deleting it. Where did yoiu download it to?
