Anyone have any experience with submitting an invention or product improvement to a company?

Asked by limeaide (1921points) October 3rd, 2009

I have a few invention ideas and a few product improvement ideas. I’d like to submit them to some companies or possibly patent. Currently I don’t have the money to do a patent, I understand a patent could be several hundred dollars to a few thousand. Anyone have any experience or recommendations on how to proceed. Thanks!

start by filing provisional patent for $100 to protect your idea for 1 year. Forms are on US Patent Office. I may help finding leads

I have submitted a product packaging idea to a company using their website, with no expectation of receiving any credit for it. I have not seen any evidence that any action was taken.
