You can’t do it by spamming – you need to use more conventional methods initially. Usually by setting up a web site and offering the option. Or by buying a legitimate mail list.

Place a link on your site. Get your web developer to insert a script on your site, or get a free opt in newsletter at www.ymlp.com. Creating an opt in newsletter is easy. Maintaining subscriber interest is the tough part. Therefore I get my newsletters managed by copywriters. They know the nature of my business, and they regularly come up with attractive ads and content for my newsletter. They are located at http://www.freelancewritingdesk.com. Maybe you could check them out.

My favorite method is via email marketing tool, such as aweber or icontact. Yes, they cost a few dollars a month, but they provide the room to grow and lots of great features such as autoresponders (so you load up many messages to go out at different times), blog broadcasts (so your blog posts can go to your subscribers too), multiple lists, webform creation tools and analytics.
