Does it ever amaze and dismay you when AFV posts video of some kid acting like a horrible brat, and the parents running the camera (and audience) are laughing?

anyway I haven’t watched AVF in ages
but I guess they think that while they’re recording it’s funny
maybe they’re thinking ‘oh I’ll send this to AVF’

…. I’m amazed America’s Funniest Videos is still on the air! I remember watching that with my parents as a kid, with Bob Saget hosting….

@Facade and @MrItty Ya gotta unnerstand…we’re cablely challanged here in Kansas! Actually, just my husband and I are. We have the absolute cheapest “package” ($14.00) just so we can at least get some reception. I think we have 10 channels…we wait all week for House, Bones, and me for 20/20 and 60 minutes! Other than that it’s Meh. AFV, Friends, Cheers, old stuff, but good.

I absolutely HATE those videos! I cannot imagine what the parents are thinking! Amazing how those are always the ones to win too. I’ve stopped watching the end of show all together.

Some of them ARE funny, tho. But so many of them, not just the kids, are obnoxious and stupid. I do not understand how someone could post a video of themselves, sloppy drunk, doing something idiotic for the whole world to see.

The ones I really hate are the ones involving snot, vomit, etc. Just gross, not funny, IMO. And I like Tom Bergeron way better than Bob Saget, too.

Tantrums can be funny in certain contexts, in my opinion. Children are just so outrageous that it’s hard not to laugh.. hell, I want to do this ALL the time when my kid throws a tantrum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WwGtzAacVA
