Those sound like flu-like symptoms to me. But seeing as this isn’t a medical site, it’s probably not best to expect an accurate answer from fluther. I would make an appointment with your doctor right away.

Do you have a fever? If not, it’s probably not the flu.

@SpatzieLover Yes i have a slight fever but not higher than 100 degrees

I don’t know your age or your medical history. Here is info on the H1N1 virus. If you think you have it, you should not return to work or school until at least 24hrs after symptoms and fever are gone.

You have the flu. Take care. Hope you feel better soon.

@judochop Did you use your computer’s magic 8 ball for this one? ;D

Usually the flu is higher than 101, unless you are already taking some sort of ibuprofen, aspirin, or tylenol, then you are already masking your fever. Either way it sounds like the flu, you just might be lucky and run a not-so-high fever.

Yes, it could be swine flu. The only way to find out is to get tested for it, but it’s not necessary unless you get quite sick… in which case, go to your doc!

@fireinthepriory is right – not every case of H1N1 flu causes fever. If you are pregnant, you should contact your care provider right away becuase pregnant women have a higher chance of becoming dangerously ill. Overall, the risk of needing hospitalization for H1N1 is about 1 in 1,000. If you think you might be sick enough to need hospitalization, go in to the ER. Otherwise stay home, take care of yourself and try to avoid contact with family friends and coworkers until you’ve been better for at least 24 hours.
