How can I use Twitter lists?

Asked by rguest (201points) October 28th, 2009

I just saw the new Twitter lists feature on my homepage, and I don’t really know how to use it. And what are some ways to use lists? Thanks!

It’s pretty straightforward, I thought. Just create the subgroups that you might want.

The first thing I did was create a private list for my “inner circle”, which I can then check and see the tweets that I had previously been missing from people I care about most.

Clearly there’s a lot more you can do with it, but I suggest just experimenting.

for example, you might have a list of your friends, of your family, of celebrities, of businesses you patronize, etc. Then you click on the relevant list, and you see tweets only from people in that particular grouping.

It’s what TweetDeck has had forever. Twitter.com is just now catching up.
