How do I get a high paying jobs in a bad location?

Asked by mowens (8403points) October 29th, 2009

I used to hear about these jobs in Northern Alaska or something, where they pay tons of money and your room and board. I have a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications- I’d love to work in northern Alaska for a year or two to get a nest egg for life! I cannot find anything about this on the internet.

There used to be jobs like this in Saudi Arabia. You could try searching on that.

Do a search on “high paying jobs”. The main way to get high paying jobs is to be qualified for the positions that are available. Most high paying jobs are in the political sector.

Best bet is to think out of the box, move to an undeveloped country, and preferably one with natural resources. America as I see it is done, at least for a couple decades-welcome to the new world order.
But then again, if you really want something bad enough you can get it, but you must try, try and try.

I found a couple of sites that might be helpful to you.

This one looks pretty good, and here is a similar one. Here is the list I found on a google search. You might also want to research a specific company and look at their job listings. My company is in all 50 states, and we have listing on our website for all types of jobs. I’m sure other companies do the same thing.
