I'm looking for short-term low commitment volunteering opportunities in San Francisco?

Asked by avartan (22points) October 30th, 2009

Im currently unemployed but may be employed soon, so can’t make a long term commitment. I do have PLENTY of time, and am looking for volunteering opportunities that dont require long term commitment, or somewhere I can go and just “show up” in the morning.

I’d check the local Craigslist postings. There are a lot of volunteer opportunities in San Francisco or any big city for that matter.

Check out www.idealist.org, you’ll find plenty there.

There’s HandsOn Bay Area and The Volunteer Center serving San Francisco and San Mateo. Give either of them a call and I’m sure they can place you!
