If you could make something the opposite of what it naturally is in the world, just to see how life would be...what would you change?

Asked by AmbeJL (114points) October 31st, 2009

For instance, if men had babies instead of women.

I’d make us the terrorists.

Gravity!

That would be funnn.

Also, cigarettes and alcohol would be healthy. ;)

@acidlogik, Without gravity you wouldn’t be here.

The direction of time.

I’d love to be a kid again.

acidlogik's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities I was thinking that but then I realised what comes soon after. I do not want to do that in reverse.

@Parrappa Well can we turn it off for just an hour?

The direction of evolution.

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@acidlogik No silly, at that point you just re-reverse the direction back to normal!

I think I just want to maximize the amount of time when cartoons and what flavor popsicles one eats are the biggest worries in life.

Homosexuals being the majority, and heterosexuals being the minority.

Atheists and nonbelievers as the majority, and the Middle Eastern Religious types as the minorities. Think of all the land we would have to plant trees on without all those damn Xtian churches.

I can think of a couple more, but they aren’t suitable for a family site like Fluther.

@Parrappa I think that might solve the over-population problem, eh?

I would actually love to hear more!

Birds that burrow into the ground! Rodents that fly into the sky! Clouds that absorb moisture! Heat that flows downward! Water that flows upriver! Grass that grows brown and dies green! Mice that eat cats! Flowers that wilt before they blossom! Politicians that solve problems! Wait, what?

acidlogik's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities Oh yes, of course. Silly me. Reverse time to childhood + reverse gravity and life would be awesome.

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@holden All plausible until that last one.

Not even in reverse world.

Parrappa's avatar

@acidlogik, haha no, if we turned it off for an hour it would still cause major problems. All the planets would drift off in space. All our satellites would fly away, the moon would not be ours anymore, etc. Things like that. I know, I’m a buzz kill. Sorry.

How about being able to cross humans and animals, and grow our own centaurs, satyrs, griffins, and other so-called mythical creatures? Of course, you’ll have to decide which process works best. I’m not touching that one with a ten foot pole. =)

The internet came before the newspaper.

I would love to reverse the parent/child role through the teen years.

Everything that tastes good is good for you. You should eat as much of it as possible and it will not make you fat. Or, if it does, being fat is desirable and healthy.
