In detail, what is your idea of the perfect government?

Asked by Clair (3832points) November 1st, 2009

Most will probably say ‘no government,’ but since even a world at peace would have to have some sort of government, what is it’s ideal form? In order to make everything work, please provide details.
Most people complain so often, I find myself complaining sometimes but when I think about it, I’m not sure how much better I could run a country. How would you deal with health care, taxes, law, criminals, housing, etc etc etc?
I’m not sure where to go with this…It’s a huge concept for me.

Myself, as oligarch.

Just wondering, why do you think a world at peace would have to have some sort of government?

@pdworkin What’re you? Schizophrenic?

@JONESGH I would think a ‘world at peace’ would still need somebody to supervise and maybe wipe a few asses. A real world at peace would need such a thing because honest peace would probably only come from a small handful of people. That’s what I would think but I’m honestly overwhelmed just trying to comprehend my own question.

A self destroying government. Or in other words, a government that would renew itself into a different form of government to be destoryed again. Oh wait, thats what we already have.

Actually, I’d want no government. May equality go to hell.

Constitutional representative meritocracy

Perhaps I’ll elaborate more in the morning.

Not EVERYONE is an Anarchist. I think the US has a pretty good form of government, it’s just the games we play with it that make it miserable. The big flaw in this republican view of a pure capitalist society, with no government intervention, is that people are greedy and there is no morality in capitalism. It is Evolution in action, survival of the fittest, and in the last 30 years we have started to see our middle class get put on the endangered species list.
